Background
Vesela grew up enamored with the stars. Every night she could be found on the roof stargazing. She was also a rather adventurous child getting into all sorts of mischief and almost always coming home with small bruises or cuts, which she would say proved that she had a good adventure.
In school, she found she liked the study of science best, and also found a love of reading. Books could take you on adventures when there wasn’t time for a real one! Initially she had planned on studying astronomy at the Elaysian Science Academy, but when applying an admissions counselor suggested applying to both the Science Academy as well as Starfleet.
When Vesela got acceptance offers for both, she was torn. Her parents urged her to follow her dreams and gifted her a science blue pair of crutches as well as an exoskeleton. Her extended family did not share those thoughts, and think that Starfleet isn’t where Vesela should be.
Vesela majored in Cell Biology and Astronomy at the Academy. She also participated in music, drama, and fashion extracurriculars. She’s somewhat of an introvert, but does enjoy talking when she has the energy. She prides herself on her attention to detail and work ethic, and was a “work hard, play with whatever time and energy you have left after working hard” kind of student, although she still has a semi-mischievous streak to her.
