The Gamma Taboa star is a class IV Subgiant star, type A (white spectrum) with a stellar mass of about 4.0 (in relation to Sol)
The Gamma Taboa system is located 4 lightyears from Starbase 118 in the direction of Epsilon Outpost #11. Of the 2 star systems virtually side by side it is the one farthest from Starbase 118.
Gamma Taboa
- it's orbit is approximately 364 million km from it's star
- a barren planet with a diameter of 14,781 km (9,238 miles).
- a density of 5.9 and a gravity of 1.24 G's
- no noticeable seasonal variation due to there being an axial tilt of only 2%
- temperatures are on average 33C during the day and dropping to 21C at night
- only about 13% surface water
- an atmosphere with a pressure of about 0.83 earth normal with nitrogen 73%, oxygen 22% and argon 5%
- with a year of 425 days, each day 26 hours long
- primary terrain features are rock and dirt with an abnormal high amount of surface iron
- extreme amount of electrical storms and massive amounts of electrical discharges on the planets surface
Asteroid belt
- they orbit there star at approximately 392 to 438 million km
- there are C-Type asteroids mixed in with the majority of S=type asteroids. These asteroids are dark, low reflective, with brittle bodies made of fine opaque material and hydrated (water-rich) minerals
- there are M-Type asteroids mixed in with the majority of S-type asteroids. These asteroids have nickel/iron compositions and other rare types of metals. Any of these may have useable amounts of ice on the surface or within them
- most of these asteroids are S-Type asteroids and have a stony, iron composition
- see Asteroid Data for more information
