I'm a Liverpool born person who casually enjoys storytelling in all of its forms. I have been roleplaying and writing characters now for over fifteen years, and sometimes think of myself as a "Character Writer" in the same way an actor would call it a "Character Actor", often leaning on a characters exaggerated traits to help navigate a storyline. Once a theatre person myself, I now work in travel and can usually be found working on commercial planes going to and from the UK. When I'm not on a city trip, I'm usually rewatching my favourite films or shows, that often end up inspiring ideas for my characters. My first trip into Star Trek was with Star Trek Voyager.

LOST, and my favourite character was Juliet.

VOY & PIC. (Big Janeway fan)

The Alien franchise and the Hunger Games films.

Matilda!

What's your happy place?

If I'm not on a city-break somewhere in Europe,
then it's watching a Netflix show with some good food.

Why did you join 118?

Its long history, its attention to detail,
its fun visual element such as the wiki, and
its clear commitment to continue evolving as a group.

What are your goals at Starbase 118?

Always to continue becoming a better all-round simmer,
and to eventually have a menagerie of characters that I
can dip in and out of.

In the future that I hope is not so distant, I want to
join the Academy team, and be a mentor in general on the ship
I am serving on.

Doz Finch is a woman whose career in Starfleet has been anything but ordinary; originally the youngest child of four, when her brothers left Earth to pursue engineering careers, they left her to deal with their miserable and deeply troubled mother, throwing the most important years of her teenage life into gloom. Yet something her brother Wallace said not only stuck with her but planted the seed of escape —— he had advised Doz to fill her time by reading repair manuals, so that she could maintain and fix all of the tricky technology in their home. Although furious with him over it, she did in fact do it and after a year became something of a self-taught technician. Encouraged by her best friend Murphy, she catapulted herself into an enlisted career, leaving all of the misery behind. Forty years on, and shortly after Murphy's death, the next part of her story begins at Starbase 118.
