The Intelligent Lifeform Index (ILI) is a list of Star Trek species seen onscreen. It additionally acts as our community's central database of species which can be used as characters in our game. Accessing through the links below, you can find an alphabetical list of all species with their playability designations (Permitted/Restricted/Forbidden).
Playability Designation
The playability designation is the marker for which species can be used as primary characters in SIM. There are three basic markers:
- File:Green.gif Permitted: Species in this category are playable by all members.
 Restricted: These species can only be played with a staff member's permission, and cannot be played as primary characters. Forbidden: Any species listed in this category are barred from being played by any members except in NPC, short-term capacities. This may be due to super-powers (Qs), or villain status (Borg).
