The New Scotland star is a class V main sequence star, type M6 (red spectrum) with a temerature of 2,000 to 3,500 Kelvin and with a stellar mass of about 0.3 to 0.4 .(in relation to Sol) It has a solar radius of 0.5 and a luminosity of 0.04 with hydrogen lines falling within the very weak rating.
