  • Mission Outline: Before the Drake crew have even settled into their roles as the new crew of Starbase 118 Ops, a chilling new development threatens the base and leaves the lives of everyone on board and within the vicinity hanging by a thread. It begins with a delicate plumbing problem and leads into what seem to be simple temperature fluctuations, leaving some areas with sweltering heat and nearly smiling Vulcans while frigid temps in other sections of the base send Captain Rogers, Acting First Officer LCMD Atimen, and the rest of the crew scampering to replicate hot drinks and don winter parkas.

Mission Updates

239010.15 - Lieutenant Richards and his Science team in Stellar Cartography reveals the difficulties are caused by four ion storms, one from each quadrant of the universe. They are traveling at warp speed and heading straight for the starbase, targeting four fusion reactors. The storms also affect warp fields, preventing area ships from escaping. With energy from the storms already hitting the base and little more than an hour in which to prepare themselves, the base is set to yellow alert and emergency preparations begin. 239010.30 - Destruction escalates on the station with gale force winds and an earthquake that rips apart the promenade. Residents are evacuated to the interior of the base while the crew puts a plan in motion to rotate the base to absorb the storms’ force via maximum utilization of internal and external shielding. As the crew waits for word from ships closer to the storm front, the wary officers brace for impact. All the ships in vicinity are ordered to return to Starbase, though some chose to try and run away causing trouble. 239011.06 - As the ion storms hit smashing through the shields it becomes increasing clear that each storm has an elemental nature; Fire, Earth, Wind and Water. Each elemental has been summoned to the station by an ancient artifact to choose an Avatar and fight an important battle and SB118 is to be their battle ground. Commander Danzia the bases Counselor, has the artifact in her possession although she is currently unaware of that fact. 239011.15 - The four elementals have chosen avatars to be their champions and are slowly converging on each other for a fight to the finish. Lt Sinda Essen is apparently incinerated by a pillar of fire in front of the senior staff. However she is unbeknownst to the crew transformed into an Avatar for the fire elemental. Next, Marine officer Tarallo got possessed by Shale and was turned to Avatar of Earth elemental. Emerging in the morgue was Chan, Air elemental possessing a body of dead Bajoran girl. Last emerging from the water storage facility in The Dungeon, possessing the body of Douglas Hardy. Meanwhile the crew are trying to divert them away from the civilian population and discover a way to cast them off the star base. 239011.30 - Crew encountered the Avatars and while finding some very unfriendly and completely unwilling to communicate in any way, some showed ready to cooperate. None revealed their purpose on the station or what they are seeking, but Commander Danzia encountering Cinder, fire elemetal who in order to lower the possible number of dead minions burned the rest of the morgue, realized that the amulet she possess pose the significance to the elementals. Marine groups lead by Oliver Weston and Ta'lis Merek encountered the element of stone where the member of the team Alton "Niner" Tarallo got possessed by it and the fight between him and minions of earth, Quartz goblin started. Lieutenant Kendall Washburn lead the team which lured Chan, the air elemental avatar out of the station and the battle between her dead minions, she rise from starbase morgue started on that front. 239012.15 - Battle between Chan, the Air Elemental and Brine, Champion of Water held in Docking Bay, brought the first winner among elementals and to the relief of Starbase crew caused minimal damage to the station. Science crew in the Stellar Cartography is trying to figure out the way to disable elementals and found that chroniton energy is affecting them, while at the same time discovered 5th energy source of the similar kind. Deciding that Dry Dock s the best place for the final confrontation between the elementals, Lieutenant Alexander Richards in Strategic operations uses the enhanced forcefields to lead them all to the location. 239012.18 - After a short battle during which Flint was winning over Cinder all up to the moment when Commander Sakorra Reed and Lieutenant Marvin Brolin freeze reactor he was pulling his energy from, they reached the Dry dock. At the same time Lieutenat James found the body of Marika Wilkarah buried under the collapsed northern support, girl was injured and since needed to be treated more seriously was moved to Auxiliary Medical bay on deck 500. Arriving to the docks following the combatants, Marines found the damaged fighter with Lieutenant Kendall Washburn in it and moved him to Auxiliary sickbay, too. 239012.30 - The battle between three elemntals lasted much shorter than anyone expected, resulting in the victory of Flint, the stone elemental. First Flint and Brine defeated Cinder and in the final skirmish, though he was enervated by the work of Starfleet officers water still couldn't break the stone. To their surprise, when the battle ended all that Flint as a victor asked was to be joined with the rest of elements in the Amulet. Problem was that after being joined by previous 3 elements amulet was not resembling amulet any more, but transformed into a large clam. 239101.01 - When When Flint joined the "Seed of Life" as the amulet/clam (which is actually the perfect embryo) introduced itself, it grew a bit more... the baby was born, but the chroniton sweep caused it's rapid aging. The creature which has no sex and is in physical sense the Hybrid of Avatars the elementals occupied with perfect embryo from amulet looks humanoid, with facial features of Human, Bajoran and Cardassian and black Betazoid eyes. Avatars were moved to Sickbay and slowly, but surely recuperate. 239101.24 - When crew recuperated and repairs were well on, Captain Rogers assembled the crew in Ball Room of The Excelsior Hotel aboard the station for the promotion Ceremony. Promotions received Ensign M'Wash to Lieutenant Junior Grade, 2nd Lieutenant Merek to 1st Lieutenant, Chief Engineer Pandora to Lieutenant Commander and Tsia (who grew to look as a child of close to 8 years old and was showing the wisdom of even older child, though still had problem making proper sentences) to Lieutenant Junior Grade. During the ceremony Tsia was silently seized by Starfleet Medical, being flagged as a health hazard, soon after that one after another officers received orders to report for transfer.
