After being captured by local mercenaries while trying to investigate the crash site, Flt.Cpt. MacKenzie and her team were taken to the capital city where they would seek an audience with the Grand Rishe– the ruler of Meirashi people. Upon arrival, they discover the Rishe is unwell and even more surprisingly, that Leilossh, the apparent second in command knows much more than he should about the crashed freighter in the jungle. Some smooth talking from Flt.Cpt. MacKenzie and her team including Lt.Cdr. Salkath, LtJG Gnai, and Ensigns Lyara and Imril ultimately convinced Leilossh to allow them secure the crash site in exchange for providing medical attention to the Grand Rishe.
Meanwhile, another team headed up by Lt.Cdr. Dakora is led to the hiding place of the only known survivor of the freighter crash, a surly smuggler named Legend O’Connor. But before they can evacuate O’Connor to the Artemis and reunite with the other teams, Lt.Cdr. Dakora and his team consisting of LT Silveira, LtJG Savel and Ens Bergmen were ambushed in the jungle by cultists to the enigmatic Empress-Who-Would-Be and taken to their secretive shrine. There their guide-turned-captor, Falia reveals herself to be the leader of a powerful and ancient order that seeks the technology– the magicks– that can be found on crashed ships. Utilizing his gift for persuasion, LT Silveira managed to convince Falia to let him see a “holy” artifact that turns out to be an ancient Orion data rod. Using their Starfleet tech they reveal that the Empress was not a hero of the workers, rather a marooned Orion criminal bent on enslaving the Meirashi people, who crash landed several centuries ago.
In the settlement of Lesser Prash, a team led by Cmdr. Adea attempts to make good on the Captain’s agreement to provide medical treatment for the Grand Rishe. This situation was made all the more complicated by the discovery that the Rishe was suffering from acute radiation poisoning– an ailment that shouldn’t be possible in the medieval society.
As the three teams work to unravel the delicate web of intrigue on Ura Neteos III, the situation appears to be coming to a head. A mob of workers marches on the wrecked freighter intent on facing off against the Rishes soldiers with the magick weapons Falia promised to provide.

When Starbase 224 receives a distress signal from an unknown civilian freighter with no records of ship, crew or cargo, the recently returned USS Artemis, still recovering from the chaos of Frontier Day, is dispatched to locate the missing spaceship. With the added complication of a very active Celendi Nebula pouring radiation into the space around it, the Artemis goes on a bit of a search and rescue mission for the missing Tritorian with more questions than answers as to who they're supposed to rescue, and from what.

It is never quiet in the Borderlands, Mister Silveira.
Upon their return to the Borderlands, and their dispatch onto their new mission to locate the missing - and entirely unknown - civilian freighter, the Tritorian, the recently promoted Fleet Cpt. MacKenzie orders her crew to initiate their search for the vessel. With Ens Lyara revealing that their available search grid is too large for them to search in time to intercept the Tritorian in time to rescue them from a possible crisis, Lt.Cdr. Jovenan sends orders to the Science Department to calibrate the sensors to make the search through the heavily irradiated Celendi Nebula less bothersome, while Lt.Cdr. Dakora is charged with ensuring that the Medical Division is prepared to deal with a substantial amount of radiation poisoning while the Artemis remains in close proximity to the irradiated nebula.
Approaching two possible planets in their search for the Tritorian, the crew of the Artemis comes face-to-face with a very unpleasant indication: of the two planets, one is void of life, but the other - Ura Neteos III - is home to a species of sentient serpentine aliens, currently experiences their version of the Dark Ages. Knowing that the possibility of the Tritorian crashing into that planet would mean a Prime Directive incident, Fleet Cpt. MacKenzie orders her crew to do a full scan of the uninhabited planet. She has no intention of sending a team down to Ura Neteos III unless absolutely necessary, but considering Lt.Cdr. Receiving directions from Lt.Cdr. Jovenan to calibrate the sensor pod, LtJG Gnai sends word towards its friend, Lt.Cdr. Faced with a mission alongside his senior officers, and feeling saddled with low expectations due to his youthful appearance, Ens Bergmen opts to be proactive in his task and summons a small team of enlisted specialists to aid them in their task. This backfires horrendously, however, as LtJG Gnai immediately dismisses the team of specialists to other, more pressing duties, while Lt.Cdr. While Cdr. The Mizarian Doctor - despite her anxious demeanor - assures him that they'll be able to find a solution for their resource shortage, and while encouraged by his junior officer's promise, orders her to start the necessary preparations for non-essential personnel redeployment. Elsewhere on the jungle planet of Ura Neteos III, Flt.Cpt. MacKenzie’s team, comprised of LtJG Gnai, Ens Lyara, LtCmdr. Salkath and Ens. Imril encountered a troop of hostile Meirash soldiers armed with primitive weapons. During a brief skirmish Ens. Lyara sustained a minor injury before and the team was taken prisoner, but not before Flt.Cpt. MacKenzie managed to transmit a covert distress signal to the other teams.
Meanwhile, Lt.Cdr. Dakora’s team encounters a mysterious Meirash named Falia who claims to have knowledge of a Tritorian survivor. Receiving Flt.Cpt. MacKenzie’s distress call, but determined to accomplish his objectives, Lt.Cdr. Dakora dispatches LtJG Savel and LT Silveira to locate the Captain’s team and report back.
The final team, led by Cmdr. Adea consisting of Lt.Cdr. Jovenan, LT Sadar, and Ens Kel struggled to navigate the rough terrain of the jungle, deal with hostile wildlife, and dodge Meirash patrols. As the sun begins to set, they begin to look for shelter to camp for the night.
This complex rescue mission has escalated into a delicate operation, balancing rescue goals with the responsibility to preserve the Meirash civilisation’s natural evolution. With several crew members detained and evidence of pre-industrial interference, the Artemis crew is racing to minimise the cultural impact while ensuring the safety of their crew and rescuing any of the remaining crash survivors.
