Used to living closer to the capital and being stationed there as a core botanist researching the Mortimycene blight, it felt only right for him to move his family to the Verdant Belt. Tal was softer handed than Mira and had a good relationship with his children. Mira SylfSari El'Heem Mother - Sylvana Prime Mira is a loving mother but she grew up hard on Kressari and that upbringing is reflected in how she raised her children. She softened as she's aged but her relationship with Ras has been strained from his childhood relations with her. Mira's fierce determination was the driving force for her team at the lab. In fact, if any one person was responsible for eradicating Mortimycene, it would be Mira. Lira TalMira El'Heem Sister - Sylvana Prime Lira was affected greatly by the famine. At just 6 years old, Lira suffered from malnutrition and starvation from the blight and as a result her growth is stunted. Lira is much smaller than her kin and is of a frail composition. Lira and Ras are very close as he helped raise her for much of her life while their parents worked long hours. Friends Friends ⮟ Talia Ohnari Chief and Mentor Ras met Lieutenant Ohnari on his first day out of the academy amongst the rubble of the USS Arrow's Sickbay only hours before the ship was lost in action. Ohnari quickly became Ras's friend and confidant as he settled in on the USS Khitomer. He's been able to lean on her for support throughout each of their missions and have worked closely together to solve all of the ships medical problems. May have committed breaking and entering on Deep Space 9 to cook pasta in a drunken stupor together. Richard Matthews Partner In Crime Ras met Matthews at the onset of the Lattice Alliance invasion of Deep Space 33. The squad the two were apart of aboard the station narrowly made it out alive and trauma bonded on their return. The two have become friends through countless shenanigans and plotting. Ras considers Richard to be one of his closest friends.
