ExtraStellar Industries, or ESI, is a relatively young company founded by ex-Hyth Corporation designers shortly after the Imperial takeover.

ESI quickly became a major manufacturer of military vehicles. They are subtle supporters of anything anti-Imperial; their first major design, the Ega starfighter, has not been sold to anyone with Imperial connections.

Unfortunately for ESI, the Ega has not seen much in the way of sales, due to its inferior weaponry systems. After forming an exclusive weapons division, the craft has slowly gained more acceptance and is being utilized more frequently. ESI supports their R&D department by selling upgrade kits for older starfighters.
