Sigma Corvi star system is approximately 4 lightyears southeast of Starbase 118 and about 2 lightyears from the border of Klingon space in the Trinity Sector.

This system is considered a danger to stellar navigation. The as yet unknown nature of the bizzare and or unusual stellar conditions that has resulted in the loss of at least 17 know space craft have resulted in this area being avoided.

This system has no known planets, but long range scans seem to indicate that the large amount of asteroids are not all natural. Scientific study seems to indicate that a sizeable amount came from one or more likely 2 different planets that were destroyed. At this time the cause is unknown.
