Mother Morro’s parents are reasonably notable and successful pirates amongst the Orion Syndicate Remnants but even they have fallen on difficult times inside their own organization. They are ruthless and without most morals, doing what they need to in order to survive living on the fringes of space. They have a deep hatred for Starfleet and what Starfleet did to the once great Orion syndicate.

Sister Z’mat is Morro’s older sister (born 2374). She is a brilliant social manipulator. She did not approve of Morro’s move to StarFleet. She has kept up minimal communication, only getting in contact with Morro every couple months or so. He is unaware of her true current activities, but she tells him all is well.

			Before Starfleet ⮟

• 2377- Morro Caras is born
• 2377 - Caras family Flees with Orion syndicate Remnants after defeat at the hands of "the combined efforts of Starfleet Intelligence, StarBase 118 Ops and SB118 Fleet officers."
• 2377 - Z’mat is trained in the ways of deception and Morro is trained as a saboteur. His family often participates in schemes where they sell them into slavery. Morro then sabotages the ship, while Z’mat distracts. They then make the ship an easy target for the Syndicate remnants to take and plunder.
• 2377 - Caras family is one of the families that takes Port Royale
• 2377 - After the Caras family becomes increasingly desperate, they attempt to actually sell their children Morro and Z’mat to a group of Renegade Klingons. This does not last long as the two cause enough problems that the Klingons end up returning them.
• 2377 - Fearing that their parents might kill them or finally outsmart them, Z’mat and Morro negotiate with StarFleet intelligence and request asylum. They provide valuable information that might help Starfleet break into the Orion Syndicate remnants communications network.
