History

Unusual though it may be for an Andorian to live on Vulcan, Dax did. His family's narrow claim to fame was that they had come to Vulcan as members of an Ambassadorial attache. Dax's mother stayed at home, but his father was an engineer at a nearby mine. Dax always did enjoy building things, although he has never worked with anything regarding interplanetary transport until now. His family wanted Dax to join Starfleet, and so he did. Is he quite a conformist. As far as knowledge goes; in addition to his reservoir of technical information, Dax also knows a fair amount of geology, and enough physics and math to understand the inner workings of the contraptions he so loves. After finishing up at Starfleet, he hopes to eventually open a private consulting corporation.
