Hi Jackford,
== Motto graphics ==
I don't mind the pages being edited, although I've worked hard to get them set up so they are easily updated and the way I like them, but before you leave, would you make sure they are showing correctly?  [[User:Toni|Toni]] 22:25, 2 May 2007 (CDT)Toni

==?==
I have no idea how to get to the Motto to change the graphic. It would be simple if I could get the picture to the correct size 175 x 90, but the closest I could get was 172 x 113. So if any one could help me with that on the Embassy's front page it would be appreciated. Toni[[User:Toni|Toni]] 00:05, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Toni, please define "Player Non-Playing Characters" for me. It sounds like an oxymoron. Do you mean NPCs that are specific to PCs, rather than those NPCs that anyone can use? -[[User:Varaan|Varaan]]
: Are you referring to the image [[Template:Embassy-motto|here]]?  According to what I can see, the image is displaying at 175x90. Or are you trying to get the motto image switched and use the same image from the nav?  If that's the case, the nav image will need to be cropped in order to display at 175x90 (which I can do for you fairly quickly).  Let me know.  [[User:Whale|Whale]] 01:00, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

:I don't know what else to call them. They are NPC's created by and played by only specific PCs. We needed them separated, to avoid having them listed with the Ship NPCs that anyone can play. If there is a better way of establishing that difference, I would be greatful for the suggestion. T'Pen refers to them as "PNPCs" which I assume means "Player Non-Playing Characters" [[User:Toni|Toni]] 10:44, 16 May 2007 (CDT)

::Could also mean "'''''Personal''''' NPCs"(?) Might be a better term to use, to avoid confusion. -[[User:Varaan|Varaan]] 11:13, 16 May 2007 (CDT)
Yes, that's the one. I just didn't see a way to edit it. I want the new picture put in that box. The one on it is the old Embassy that we are replacing. o if you could crop the pictuer in the nav to the correct mesurements and name it according to the old nav it would take care of a number of of ills. I just did't want  to change the nav when I could get it to fit the standard nav. The Thunder also needs to be sized correctly. Toni[[User:Toni|Toni]] 17:07, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
:Okay, done. Check it out and make sure it's what you want  :)  [[User:Whale|Whale]] 17:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

: Sounds good to me. Whichever you think would be best if fine with me. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 06:26, 17 May 2007 (CDT)

== Generic names for ship pages ==
== Can I tag along? ==

Toni, please remember that any pages that apply to a specific ship, race, duty post, etc. need to be specifically named. For example, you can't use "Personal NPCs" for the Ronin, because it's possible another ship might want to create a page called "Personal NPCs" for their ship, as well. Each page's name is unique, and must be different from other pages. Thus, if you want to create a page like "Personal NPCs" for the Ronin, it needs to be "Ronin Personal NPCs." There's more information at [[Naming pages properly]]. --[[User:FltAdml. Wolf|Wolf]] /[[User talk:FltAdml. Wolf|talk page]] 19:15, 10 July 2007 (CDT)
Toni, I heard a rumor that the Ronin is headed back to the Embassy on Duronis II in the near future. I've been playing a Laudean PC, [[Tali, Elya|Elya Tali]], for a few months now and would be interested in getting involved with the mission either with Elya, another PNPC, or just observing.

Let me know!

Sorry sir, I will try to remember. This has not been my week, and I do apologize for the error. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 03:01, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

:It's alright Toni, we're all human and we all make mistakes. I hope the week hasn't been too bad and that things improve. Oh, and keep up the good work :) - [[User:Salak|<font color="336600">Jay</font>]]<i>[[User talk:Salak|Talk]]</i> 04:22, 11 July 2007 (CDT)
No, the Ronin won't be going to the Embassy. Will have a new ship, USS Thunder, that we're taking to Duronis II. I'm sorry, I don't recognize Elya or Meekohi, could you tell me your regular PC's name, and send me a sample sim of how you play your Laudean.

Thanks, Jay. I really enjoy the variety on tasks. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 10:33, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

:Not a problem. I've seen praise recently for Varaan and myself from a few corners but people like yourself and Cody contribute a lot and we do appreciate that. Building a Wiki is a team effort, wouldn't be the same without the contributions of yourself and others. Hi Commander,

Seems like no one noticed this? :) [[Talk:Challenger Non-Playing Character Listing‎]] --[[User:FltAdml. Wolf|Wolf]] /[[User talk:FltAdml. Wolf|talk page]] 10:30, 26 August 2007 (CDT)
I've uploaded a new version of the USS Thunder

[[File:USSThunder.jpg|150px]]

Sorry about that, Sir. I have been busy for the past week, but I have installed it on our NPC page. What I see happening is that it overlaps the menu, and there it really no room for an image. I think if we lowered the font size to 1 then it will be fine. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 23:19, 27 August 2007 (CDT)
If you don't like it, you can just revert it. :)

Also, the writer above me (Meekohi) is [[Tali, Elya|Lieutenant Junior Grade Elya Tali]] from the USS Victory. :) --[[User:AlleranTan|AlleranTan]] 00:28, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Whilst you're doing the NPC pages, if you aren't going to use each page anymore, can you just type <nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki> onto them just so it's clear and we can delete the page. Cheers - [[User:Salak|<font color="336600">Jay</font>]]<i>[[User talk:Salak|Talk]]</i> 05:56, 31 August 2007 (CDT)
The picture you made looks good, but I wanted to use the other picture of it as the main picture, and was trying to put the curved name and numbers on it. Is there anyway you can do the curved letters and numbers on top of that?  I can use the the one made at the bottom of the page.

Sure, will be happy to do that for you. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 18:18, 1 September 2007 (CDT)
Yes, I went to check Tali's page. That's why I gave her the correct procedure. She can't make a

Secondary until she becomes a full Lieutenant. Toni[[User:Toni|Toni]] 00:00, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
== Boslics ==
I can't revert the picture. You didn't leave a signature as to who did it and Admiral Wolf's changes would be lost even if I could. So I'll leave it for now and change it later. Toni[[User:Toni|Toni]] 03:51, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

:Sorry about that Toni! --[[User:AlleranTan|AlleranTan]] 23:01, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Toni, I deleted the Boslic category the first time because there should only be a category if there is more than one thing to categorize :) --[[User:FltAdml. Wolf|Wolf]] /[[User talk:FltAdml. Wolf|talk page]] 21:20, 4 September 2007 (CDT)
:Ahh- I knew you could revert it... :) If you go to the page for that image (clicking on the tiny image I put above takes you there) there's a 'revert' button down the left hand side which will allow you to set the image to any version you wish. On second thought, maybe that only appears to admins... in any event, sorry for messing it up- I meant to revert it but got distracted. --[[User:AlleranTan|AlleranTan]] 23:04, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Okay, sir, I wasn't aware that one had been made. Should I take the link off of Hella's page and do away with it the Boslic species page? [[User:Toni|Toni]] 15:21, 5 September 2007 (CDT)

== Insignias ==
Hi, I found the insignias for Starfleet for the new Challenger NPC listing, but do we have insignias of the same size for the Marines? The ones I have for Colonel are not the same size. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 17:39, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
:Can you not crop them? Remove some of the bar to make them the same size? - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt.JG Salak</font>]]<i>[[User talk:Salak|Talk]][</i> 03:49, 12 September 2007 (CDT)

Yes, I can do that. No problem. Just didn't know if you guys had some uploaded already. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 16:28, 12 September 2007 (CDT)
:I'm not sure. I know I had to crop pips for Admiral Anassasi last year but I'm yet to be on a ship with marines so I can say that I haven't. Someone else may have done though. - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt.JG Salak</font>]]<i>[[User talk:Salak|Talk]]</i> 04:45, 13 September 2007 (CDT)

No problem, I fixed the ones that were needed, and will all some as they become necessary. I'm pretty sure that the Challenger is the only ship in the fleet that utilizes Marines to any large extent, so the probablity of pips for them already being uploaded are null. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 09:26, 15 September 2007 (CDT)

==Categorizing==
Toni, the category "Characters" is for primary characters, or secondary characters on a different ship. NPC characters should be listed as such in the "Non-Playing Character" category. This is mostly because I'm extremely picky about organizing things, but also to avoid confusion on who's an NPC and who isn't. Thanks. -[[User:Varaan|Varaan]] 09:55, 24 September 2007 (CDT)

Understood. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 14:28, 28 September 2007 (CDT)

== [[Willyard, Ashlyn]] ==

Not quite sure WHY this page should be deleted. The character maybe decased, indeed, but has been part of the plot in the past surely? As such, they may yet be mentioned in the future and thus info on the character may still be useful. Also, the character is part of the Challenger's and the groups history, thus I'm reluctant to delete it. - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt.JG Salak</font>]]<i>[[User talk:Salak|Talk]]</i> 13:02, 29 September 2007 (CDT)

Okay, up to you. Her twin sister is the NPC that replaced her. Are there any links to it, if not I will put one from her sister's page.  [[User:Toni|Toni]] 15:14, 29 September 2007 (CDT)

:It's linked to from this talk page, from [[Ashlyn Willyard]] which is a redirect, and also from [[Turner, Toni]]. ==DS24 Naming==
Uh...wouldn't this be more appropriate if it was named "Deep Space 24"? You could still have the Challenger category associated with it. -[[User:Varaan|Varaan]] 09:40, 18 January 2008 (CST)

Sure Deep Space 24 would be good. Thanks for suggesting it. We had only referred to it as DS24, and I didn't think about calling it anything else at the time. Good Call. :) [[User:Toni|Toni]] 10:42, 18 January 2008 (CST)

No, I had made a page for the Challenger Marine pips, but you took it down, so when I went to find them they were no longer where I put them, and there was no indication of where you had moved them... thus the upload. :) [[User:Toni|Toni]] 14:03, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

:Ah! i overhauled the whole lot over the course of 4 months (Sept - Jan). If you click on any pip image, they're all in categories now within the same framework. == Indy ==

By "edit conflict" above, I meant that we were both editing at the same time and you kept saving the page whilst I was editing, so it wouldn't let me save. Anyway; I'm actually typing to raise [[Independence-A Multi-Vector Assault Mode]] with you. What's the point of the page? The sections the ship splits into are on the Deck Listing. As for explaning the mode itself, a link to the MA article would prob suffice. Seems quite pointless as is, with a couple of pics duplicating elsewhere within the Indy area. - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt. The point of that page was to show the separations of the ship that were too easily missed on the other page with the deck layout. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 16:34, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

:In that case, might a link to [[ma:Multi-vector assault mode]] suffice? Also, for the record, you're ''meant'' to reply on the other persons talk page so we get a notification that someone's talking to us. Not a big problem though, a lot of people seem to miss that tidbit. :) - [[User:Salak|<font color="maroon">Lt. Incidentally, just for future reference, I double triple checked- if you go here (http://www.wiki.starbase118.net/wiki/index.php?title=File:USSThunder.jpg), that's the picture that's on the Thunder front page, the one I "deleted". If you scroll down to "File History" it'll show you a tiny pic of every version of the file uploaded- including the one I put there. If you're signed in, there should be three links next to each image, saying "delete | revert | a date"

== Ship nav ==
If you click "revert", it sets the picture to that version. :)

I'm on the lookout for more Thunder images, but in future, as per your request I'll just link them in your user page and you can decide if/when you want to use them? That way I'm not treading on your toes. :)

I thought about it, but we have linked the Wiki pages to our website and it looks better without them. Also, it helps to have the Challenger nav on the same page in of better navigation. [[User:Toni|Toni]] 17:44, 26 August 2008 (EDT)

Motto graphics

I have no idea how to get to the Motto to change the graphic. It would be simple if I could get the picture to the correct size 175 x 90, but the closest I could get was 172 x 113. So if any one could help me with that on the Embassy's front page it would be appreciated. ToniToni 00:05, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Are you referring to the image here? According to what I can see, the image is displaying at 175x90. Or are you trying to get the motto image switched and use the same image from the nav? If that's the case, the nav image will need to be cropped in order to display at 175x90 (which I can do for you fairly quickly). Let me know. Whale 01:00, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

ToniToni 17:07, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Okay, done. Check it out and make sure it's what you want  :) Whale 17:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

The picture you made looks good, but I wanted to use the other picture of it as the main picture, and was trying to put the curved name and numbers on it. Is there anyway you can do the curved letters and numbers on top of that? I can use the the one made at the bottom of the page.

Yes, I went to check Tali's page. That's why I gave her the correct procedure. She can't make a Secondary until she becomes a full Lieutenant. ToniToni 00:00, 26 January 2011 (UTC) I can't revert the picture. You didn't leave a signature as to who did it and Admiral Wolf's changes would be lost even if I could. So I'll leave it for now and change it later. ToniToni 03:51, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that Toni! --AlleranTan 23:01, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Ahh- I knew you could revert it... --AlleranTan 23:04, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

It deleted mine when you uploaded the same file name. I had to delete your's so I could get it back on the Thunder's first page using the same file name.

While I appreciate your efforts to help, and the graphics you do are very nice, please ask before changing the work we have done as it is a work in progress that we need to get done. Stopping to do something all over again only delays it's completion.

Keep up the good work. :) Toni 23:31, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Toni

Thanks Toni! :)

If you click "revert", it sets the picture to that version. :)

I'm on the lookout for more Thunder images, but in future, as per your request I'll just link them in your user page and you can decide if/when you want to use them? That way I'm not treading on your toes. :)

As for the current image, I'll see what I can do about polishing it up in the next few days, but I have a fair few other things to do so it might get triaged. Sorry again for the confusion! --AlleranTan 04:37, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

I appreciate your help, Tan, but I polished it up already. Okay? If you want to help, I need two picture of two different offices, one for Toni and one for Ambassor Boyd. If you know of a site that has pictures of them, I'd appreciate the address so I can choose from them to my taste. :) Toni 21:54, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Toni
