Tali has a strained relationship with her mother, especially after the death of her father. Seeking out her own potential, Tali always wanted to venture into Medicine and a Starfleet career, while her mother tried to push her into Diplomatic studies. There's a great deal of animosity between the two - a product of unresolved grief and misunderstandings left to fester.

Struggling to make friends with a busy education schedule and medical program, she has recently tried to break out of her behavior patterns and get to know those who she works and lives with. While not always warm-hearted - and a sharp tongue in an intelligent head - Tali cares a great deal about those she has started to develop relationships with.
Genkos Sim Genkos is the Chief Medical Officer for the USS Gorkon, who Tali has got to know over several missions and shore leave interactions. She likes his steady and dependable nature, enjoys being around the Betazoid, and aspires to his level of knowledge. Alongside their Skarbek adventures, Tali feels more relaxed around him than anyone. Corliss Fortune The new Counselor in the fold of the USS Gorkon, Tali took a liking to the woman after one long afternoon drinking in a hot Saurian desert holoprogram, and carting her back to her quarters to recover. She likes the way the woman finds some kind of joy in everything. Alosia Freymott Surprisingly, Tali never believed that the woman actually liked her, or liked anyone for that matter. However, as they stumble forth into what someone could loosely call friendship, Tali has found she respects the Antosian immensely, and would be incredibly sad if she died of some disease she examined too closely.
