Beach creature
After boarding the new Vigilant-A the crew set off using the slip stream drive to do a bit of exploring. They came upon an interesting class-M world called Eridax. Diving into into two landing parties, one under First officer Lt. Cmdr. Zerxes and Fleet Captain Diego Herrera they started to explore the planet. The Vigilant was to stay in orbit about the planet under the command of Lt. Cmdr Velana. Commander Zerxes found some caves to explore while Captain Herrera started to explore some new life forms near the shore line.

At this point the ship lost contact with the landing party and transporter locks were lost.

Lieutenant Udas was attacked by a creature that attacked under the sand. Then there was the strange occurrence of a storm front that didn't seem to move despite prevailing weather. It appeared the parts of the environment didn't follow normal established weather patterns. Also the jelly fish seemed to communicate to each other.

The team led by Lt. Cmdr A’ern Zerxes found dilithium readings in a large cave network but were soon dealing with flash floods through the caves and injuries to crewmates. Zerxes has finally been able to make contact with the crew back on the Vigilant bridge to try and facilitate an evacuation, but they are limited without use of transporters and a ticking clock on the welfare of the injured. The captain’s team, above ground and near the coast, recognized that a new lifeform was intermingled with the storms and worked to try and make communication. After contact was made it was readily apparent that the lifeform did not take kindly to the intrusion by the Vigilant’s landing parties. The Captain thought it best for the Vigilant to leave the planet and place a warning buoy in orbit, keeping other ships away from the planet.
