No records of the history of the native Ilbera have ever been seen. What little is known about them comes from the records of those races they have been in contact with. Since comeing into contact with members of the FTU they entered into and accepted membership with in the Union. Very few off worlders ever set foot on their home world. Those few that do are restricted to one of the 3 communities that has been prepared to house or provide for the needs of off worlders.   
   
Since they have established a very beneficial trading empire. In exchange for any technology that they want or use they trade off the rare fruits, spices and a thick amber ale called Mavilian Ale that they do produce. Thanks to the great demand for these items they have become major commercial power.

Most of the [[Ilbera]] live off the ground among the trees, vegatation or along the cliffs. They grow their food, both plant and animal off the planet surface amid the lofty reaches of their homes.   
   
===Government===   
The Ilbera are governed by a matriarcial body. Almost no information is know about this government other than the following facts. There is only about 1 female per every 10,000 males. The females never leave the safety and security of the canyons and all contact with off worlders has been conducted by communications devices or the use of messengers. The Ilbera that work off world as guards are part of the excess male population considered to be inferior and as such are rented out by brokering a contract with a member of the matriarcial government.   
   
There seems to be an extremely large number of these excess males available. What they did to control or eliminate this excess male population prior to selling them into service off world is unknown. However it is known that each generation does produce a huge number of excess males that the planet can not support.

In the beginning this planet was just a ball of rock. Then a sudden cataclysmic expansion of the planet's core shattered the planet's crust. For some unknown reason the planet did not explode. They have managed to domesticate a number of the planets native critters. Their are no predators.

They export rare fruits, spices and a thick amber ale called [[Mavilian ale]]. It is produced by one of their domesticated creatures. This ale is probally its main and best known export. It is sweet and very potent. Only the Ilbera consume it with out watering it down. Most species need to water it down by 50% to 75%.  


In time life developed within these deep canyons. The vegetation is, on average, huge with most trees being over 1,000' tall and on average 50' to 100' round. The many vines, ferns and creeper type plants climb, crawl or grow just about everywhere. The only water to be found on the planet is at the bottom of these canyons.

There are an estimated 4 billion Ilbera liveing here on their home world. No recods have been kept for those now liveing off world but the numbers are probally not that high.

After contact with off worlders they constructed 3 cities on the rocky surface in protected lowlying areas. These cities are where aliens can mingle, trade and live. These cities are close to huge, massive cliff formations where most of the Ilbera live while the flat level areas are used by the off worlders and the Ilbera as meeting places. It is here that the buildings, shops and workplaces of a more conventional nature can be found.
