She’d barely acknowledged when the attendants had brought in the mid-day meal, leaving it to grow cold. Ordinarily one to show her disdain for sensationalist hysteria about new technologies, the fact that she didn’t seem to care now that her life’s work was being scrutinized in the press was downright troubling.
