After graduating from the Academy, Ed was assigned to the USS Walton, an Akira class ship. Some of his personal belongings in his quarters are an original hood off the #63 Corvette used in the 2001 Le Mans, an original Confederate battle flag (passed down through his family), and a number of displays of medals and ribbons from many generations of his family. He then served on Starbase 118 before being assigned to the USS Constitution-B. He was lost when the saucer section rammed the Cube to destroy it.
