She enjoys the company of younger men, especially First Officers, citing them to be 'Her Favourites'. Notable victims to Joanna's attentions have been Commander [[Kare'en m'Hapron m'Adrina |Kare'en]] of the [[USS Independence]], later Captain of the [[USS Wallace]], and Lt.Commander [[Chen, Takashi|Takashi Chen]] of the [[USS Ursa Major]]. On Stardate 238001.11 she forced a Medical Officer on the Independence to break Doctor-Patient Confidentiality regarding her son's medical health - a move which the Diplomatic Corps took very seriously.
