Sky Blake
Ensign Skyleena Blake, otherwise known as "Sky", "Lee", "Leena" or just plain "Blake", is a Brekkian Betazoid hybrid, and is currently a security officer aboard the USS Challenger-A.

Personality
Sky can be very stern and very leaderlike. She has the ability to go off her head at the smallest things. She can also see things differently than what others see it as.
Sky is always calm when she is off duty, and can usually be found in the Holodeck working out, swinging on poles. She can also become easy friends with someone that appreciates her.
Sky also has the ability to change her emotion fairly quickly. She is able to be seductive if necessary, or pretend to be something she's not - if she wanted to be blind, she could fake it easily.
She doesn't hesitate to use her electrical pulse, so be careful and watchful.

History of the Quarters
- "Between a Rock and a Hard ?": Sky's quarters were flushed out into space along with the rest of Deck Four.
- 238806.09: Cynthia & Lachlon Nayla, Bailey & Vasilissa & Sarah Lowe and Marloy cleaned up. Quarters were fully restored and items were fully unpacked.
Quarters
Sky's quarters usually contain . . . well, that's the point. They usually have nothing in them, apart from a few hidden things here and there. For example, there's usually a hand phaser behind one of the hidden panels in the bulkhead. There is always something hidden under her pillow. Rarely is there any personal items, apart from the "Recharge Bands" that hang on the hook in her bathroom, and the two unusually large books that occupy the small book shelf in her room.
Another thing that she doesn't yet know is that she will inherit a cat called Kitty, who, as the crew of the Challenger-A know, has more or less saved her life from a bully that doesn't know when to stop. Kitty is a cat that will literally sit there and stare at you for hours on end, and if she gets bored, she will claw your legs to get some attention.
Hobbies and Pastimes
- Communicating:
- Sky does continue to talk to her old room mate and best friend from the Academy, Renae Sullivan, as well has her younger brother, Rowan Sullivan.
- Even though she wont admit it, Sky actually does like to socialize rather than arguing with her commanding officer all day. She is actually a pretty reliable friend when you get to know her, even though trying to get to know her isn't that easy. Keep trying, and you'll get there.

- It's true, Sky spends most of her free time in the Holodeck training or continuing to be a athlete. This is one of the main things that calms her down when she's pretty angry.
- Sky spent half of her life outside, so it's pretty hard for her to be away from it. This also makes her a perfect canidate to be a Security escort for an away team.
- She does enjoy action holoprograms that take place in the 21st Century.
- Piloting:
- She isn't certified: She taught herself, but that doesn't mean that she isn't a good pilot. Althought Renae liked to fly fast, Sky would rather cruise. This also doesn't mean that she's a slow-poke; it means that if she's not in a particular hurry, she might just cruise around at impulse. NOTE: Half of the reason for this is because she gets headaches at around warp four and above.
Likes

- Counselors:
- Sky has had to put up with several counselors while in the Academy, so she now classes them as a big hit with herself. She likes thier dedication to helping others.
- Cats:
- Sky has always - ever since a child - wanted a kitten or a cat, just so that she wasn't alone in her quarters or room. Sky seems to have a loving tendency for them.
- She was introduced to cats by Marloy.
- Piano:
- She is able to play it, but Sky prefers to listen to it.
- Music that is only for the piano seems to calm Sky down easily.
- Alcohol:
- Vodka is a big hit with the Betazoid Brekkian hybrid whenever she's near a bar. Some how, she prefers the vodka straight.
- A Brekkian alcohol called "bosseek", which is a bronzy color, has been in with Sky before. The last time she drank the stuff, she couldn't remember what happened the same night - apparently she had gotten into a punch up with one of the other cadet-turned-Ensigns, but there wasn't so much as a mark on Sky to prove it.
Dislikes
- Bullies:
- It's understandable that she doens't seem to like bullies, especially when she was bullied and teased her whole life. If she sees someone who is like her - an apparent 'outcast' - on an away mission, she's probably going to stand up for them, regardless of the Prime Directive.
- Being weak in front of others:
- Sky can't STAND being weak around other officers, especially her superiors. If you offer her any aid, she is most likely to reject it. But then again, it depends on what happened.
- SUPERIOR OFFICERS:
- The Captain, First Officer, and the rest of those who are above Sky: BEWARE OF HOW YOU TREAT HER! Sky argues with her superiors all the time regarding what is right and what is wrong. She sometimes has a way to win, so watch out.
- Men who chase her:
- A BIG no-no. Sky HATES it. Too many men at the Academy continued to ask her out and follow her everywhere, no matter how many times she threatened them. If you want her get to know her! Don't follow her around! JUST DON'T DO IT!!!
Temperment
Always serious unless she is around friends and she is off duty. She isn't easy to get to know, because she never managed to exercise her social skills, but she is quite a beautiful woman and such a reliable friend.
HOWEVER: If there's rumor going around the ship or the StarBase telling you that there's been a fight between two officers that somehow turned pretty deadly, it's most likely Sky. She can fight dirty, and she can get into unnecessary arguments. Teachers at the Academy know this by experience. This doesn't mean that she isn't a hard working student, this means that she doesn't like someone.
STARFLEET FILES
STARFLEET MEDICAL
Being a hybrid of a Brekkian and a Betazoid may seem ideal to start off with, but Blake can get headaches depending what speed the ship is going. The usual speed for this is warp four and over. This is because of the electrical charge in her arms and the mix of Betazoid blood. The two can't mix properly, which sometimes means that Blake has to spend the day in Sick Bay.
Another thing to watch out for is the actual electrical charge. Somehow the Betazoid side of her has managed to raise the intensity and mass of the shock by about 10 percent. The shock also originates higher up in her arms, which makes any operation on her arms virtually impossible and extremely dangerous for the surgeon and Blake herself.
Just a note for Blake's ship doctor: Blake has a tendency to want to know everything. She is also quite stubborn if she doesn't get what she wants. A simple solution to this is to tell her exactly what has happened to her and what you intend to do to fix it.

COUNSELOR'S NOTE
Skyleena can get angry or upset fairly easily, and it is advised that she be teamed up with one other person - preferably a good friend of her's - when it comes to her duty; that way she can avoid getting upset over failing. But she has shown an ability to change her emotion quite quickly. For example: She was angry, and in another thirty seconds, she managed to make herself seductive. She would be an excellent choice for an Intelligence Officer.
Skyleena has been known to get into plenty of fights when she was in the Academy, and I am hoping that this won't be the same when she is posted on a ship. Rest assured that this is proof that she passed all of her Security classes.
Please remember that just because Skyleena seems like a very strong and resiliant individual doesn't mean that she can stand up for herself all the time - she is only a young woman after all and her commanding officer barking at her to do things herself all the time doesn't seem to help.
SECURITY CLASSES
Miss Blake showed fantastic skills when it came to hand-to-hand combat and using a phaser. She was able to outrun most of her classmates with the exception of her friend Miss Sullivan. She also showed a great skill with her phaser as she was able to quickly react to threats without not assessing them first. She showed strong leadership skills and was able to withstand most of the mock missions. She showed a very pleasing ability to follow certain orders, but some were difficult to get through to her.
However, now and then Miss Blake used the electrical pulse in her arms in order to complete a mock mission. She also used her telepathic skills several times. She has been told that this will not stand with the commanding officer on the ship she is to be posted on. She also failed her diplomatic classes. Her belief for a Diplomatic Solution is and I quote; "Bring in a phaser, point it at their heads and see what they do." It seems Miss Sullivan had the same idea.
Regardless of those incidents, I give her high marks for Security with full knowledge that she will become a fantastic officer later on.
OFF DUTY
"Sky can be found during numerous things when she off duty. Usually she can be found on the Holodeck working out or continuing the past project of her being an Athlete, but beware: She has a very agressive tendency and likes to hit things when she's angry.
"I will advise for her commanding officer to be wary; she has the ability to start fights with anyone - even myself - regarding what's right and wrong or if she isn't getting her way. I think it is best that if she gets too angry, take her off duty or send her to battle a hologram on the Holodeck to calm her down."

History
Professional History
Her Academy life was far from interesting. She met her three year younger Academy mentor and best friend Renae Sullivan there. The two were basically the 'Fighting Duo', as they fought playfully with each other in order to exercise. The two were also room mates.
While being assigned to the USS Challenger-A, Sky was reunited with several friends; Cynthia Kayem along with her now-husband, Lachlon Nayla and long time best-friend-gone-missing Bailey Lowe, and has managed to make a few more in the process. The counselor on board, Lieutenant Diego Herrera is one of them.
But the Challenger hasn't been smooth sailing. Sky has managed to get herself shot at, stabbed and bruised. On Stardate 238805.22, her quarters blew up along with the rest of Deck Four. Not only that, but she has gotten herself on the wrong side of many of the officers - possibly deliberately. At the moment, Sky is still digging her way through the remains of the Challenger.

Sky was born into a family of Scientists. Unfortunately, this meant that she was continualy scanned by her parents as she had her Betazoid abilities and Brekkian abilities.
Being a hybrid also caused some trouble for Sky when she started school. Continually, she was bullied both mentally and physically. Sky took it when she was younger, and didn't tell her parents what was happening. For some reason, even her teachers hated her, and did not even attempt to stop it.
One student, Bailey Lowe, was also bullied, but he fought back. He was always with Sky during school hours and was always standing up for her. He ended up disappearing when Sky was fifteen years old. This left Sky to fend for herself at school, and it also left Sky to believe that Aperon, one of the schools bully's, had gone to extremes to get Bailey killed.
When Sky was around seven years old, Lila thought that Sky could use some gymnastics training. Lila started teaching Sky gymnastics, even when Sky hated it.
When Lila had had enough of Sky's protests, she took her to a local training group. The teacher there, Marloy, saw potential in Sky, and took her aside to teach her privately.
Throughout the years, Marloy's classes were the only thing that Sky looked forward to at the end of the day. But every time after she hit high school she showed to his at least one minute later and had another bruise on her. It came to the point where Sky came to a lesson and burst into tears while on the bars, causing her to slip off and land on her back. Marloy was less than pleased, and had a stern talk with her school after that, and, even after the talk to the schools officials, the bullying got worse.
It got to the stage that Sky would no longer turn up at school or Marloy's classes. Her parents were oblivious to this fact and didn't care if she did or didn't go to school, as long as they were able to have a good scan on her afterwards - they thought that they would find a scientific explination to her actions. When Sky didn't go, she would hide somewhere in a forest or a Library, wherever she could escape from her life.
However, Marloy caught up with her when she was walking to the forest. He dragged her back to his classroom immediately. He started to train her again, but this time, he was harder on her. Sky promised him that she would return to school.
One day, Sky got hurt again but she ended up retaliating. About ten years of hatred came out on one other student, and he was taken to a medical clinic by the time Sky was finished with him.
"Rumour had it that you put Hector in a Medical Institute. Nice job with that, by the way. Apparently you gave him a broken nose, three broken ribs, two broken-"
"Fingers, eight broken toes, a broken arm, a skull fracture, a broken spine and a badly bruised ego. Yeah, I remember what I did to him."

When Sky returned to Marloy, he had told her that it was only to be expected and to not go to any punishment that her school gave her. She didn't.
After that day, Sky trained a lot harder and decided to put a goal to become one of the few athletes on Brekka. She was now seventeen years old, and did become an athlete for about three years before she turned to StarFleet on Marloy's suggestion.
