• Overall Description: Emmalyne stands five feet six inches tall. Her skin is smooth and alabaster which sets off her long ebony tresses and mysterious violet colored eyes with the odd cat like pupils of her people. Usually the pupils go unnotticed as in normal light they remain round. Her mouth is full-lipped and rosy in hue, often described as having that 'just kissed' look. Her oval face, with it's high-cheeksbones, gently curving jaw-line and chin give her a youthful, yet not childish, appearance. A mole, or beauty mark if you wish, resides above her right eyebrow near the temple. The eyebrows themselves are finely arched. There is an innocence about her that, combined with her delicate looks, seems to inspire a protectiveness in others.

Her hair is usally worn in a long, thick braid which hangs down past her waist. About her head one can normally find a plain silver circlet, for more formal occassions she will wear a Niam-Linn (NEEM-lawn) a traditional head-piece worn by the noble women from Mydjya which is very similar to a circlet, only more elaborate and showcasing a center jewel or other ornament that rests above the power center of the forehead. She also wears corresponding wrist braces. Off duty she tends to wear the traditional dress of her Mydjyan ancestors, though has been known to wear the modern dress of her Terran ancestry as well. .

Personality

Emmalyne was raised to be a lady and took to her lessons very well, though she is by no means stuffy. being of a warm and genuine nature, she smiles often and is quite comfortable in her own skin. Caring, curious and friendly, which is probably what drew her to counseling in the first place - a need to know what made people tick, as they say - that and her empathic abilities and natural people reading skills made it a natural paht for her to take. She has great reservations about Telepathy, a skill she has but has repressed as she feels it to be highly invasive. Her own ability, while uncultivated will at times rear up and she will get a word or random thought now and again, much to her dismay.

Being the daughter of a Mydjyan noblewoman and a Star Fleet officer gave her the ability to explore many cultures, races and personalities first hand. This fueled her desire to explore further and learn more, both about people and the universe around her which ultimately led to her decision to join Star Fleet. A decision that surprised her family. For though they know her not only as a kind, adventurous spirit, but also as a stubborn person who has no problem expressing her disagreement, especially when she sees something as unjust.

Personal History

Born on the planet Mydjya, one of the newer planets to join the Federation. It is an M class planet with high technology, yet its people choose to live life in the way of the past. Combining elements of life style similar to those of Terra’s Medieval, Renaissance, and Victorian eras, yet doing away with much of the gender and social bias of those time periods. The planet is broken into kingdoms instead of countries. Each kingdom has it's own ruling nobility. One kingdom rules over all the others and it is called the high kingdom. Spending time on ships among the stars as well as in the courts of the Mydjyan nobility, she is well versed in both social graces and ship board protocols.

Working Areas

Not the typical counselor office. Emmalyne prefers to make those who seek her aid as comfortable as possible. Thus she is often in the holo-suite of the counsling offices. There are times she will reserve a holo-deck for a session if the holo-suite is too small. She also will decorate her office to look as far from the sterile, cold room it was designed as she can. She prefers a warm, inviting atmospehere.
