Scientific Discovery Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who plays a direct role in a new breakthrough in any scientific field, such as history, archaeology, mathematics, astrophysics, or others. This ribbon serves as recognition for exceptional contributions in such an endeavor, particularly when such a discovery adds to the common understanding of a given area of study.

Medical Science Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who participates in, and successfully finds a cure to a deadly, infectious disease that threatens to infect an entire planet or crew. This ribbon will serve as recognition for a job well done in saving the lives of others through scientific research, determination, and personal risk.

Diplomacy Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who has distinguished him/herself by resolving a significantly dangerous or hostile situation through diplomatic means.

Innovation Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who distinguishes him or herself by the innovative application of science or technology to resolve a dangerous situation.

Leadership Excellence Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who has taken a significant leadership role on a team and has guided that team to success.

Joint Meritorious Unit Award: Awarded to an individual who participates in a joint action with an allied or neutral force toward a common goal.

First Contact Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who participates in a successful first contact event.
|
|
Extended Service Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who participates in a mission that extends for more than one year without return to the home base.

Peacekeeper Service Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who participates in, and successfully completes, a mission where keeping the peace is the primary goal.

Intelligence Star: Awarded to an individual who participates in a covert operation to protect the security and interests of the Federation or its allies.

Recovery Ribbon: Awarded an individual who has completed their rehabilitation from a mental or physical trauma, with the assistance of their fellow crew.

Unity Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who supports and champions the morale and emotional health and well-being of a starship crew. Can be awarded to non-Starfleet personnel.

|
Starfleet Investigation Ribbon: Awarded to an individual who uses investigative skills to solve a crime, defuse a threat, or resolve a dangerous situation.

Superior Support Ribbon: The Superior Support Ribbon is awarded to an officer who acts as an advisor or second in command to a command character or team leader. Such service is distinguished by excellent support and consistent contributions with ideas and advice which actively shape the mission in a positive direction.

Excellence In Adaptability Ribbon: The Excellence In Adaptability Ribbon is a general service ribbon which is awarded to an officer who is required to perform duties outside of their specialized field when a more appropriately trained officer is not available. The officer must have performed these tasks with dedication and perseverance, and must have shown that their dedication to serving Starfleet and their crew in any role required of them is of high priority to them.

Spliced Mainbrace Distinction: Awarded to an officer who thinks critically and problem-solves skillfully under the most adverse circumstances. The officer in question must demonstrate exceptional competence in their chosen field, and a capacity for both adaptation and innovation in their solution.
