Endeavour
Endeavour (NX-05) was an NX class starship in the pre-Federation Earth Starfleet. Under the command of Captain Tyrus Wright, the Endeavour ventured into the region now known as the Shoals in the 2150s. The ship charted the area of the Shoals from Donova down to Shadow's Edge. While halfway to Shadow's Edge from Antor in 2156, Captain Wright sent a landing party of five people on a shuttlepod to explore a minor system that was a candidate for colonization.
The shuttlepod team sent data back as scheduled for three days before all transmissions stopped. When Wright and the Endeavour went to check on them, they found no trace of the team or the shuttlepod. They were declared lost, and the mystery of the disappearance became known as the "Endeavour Five."
In 2398, a freighter crew in the Shoals traveling from Shadow's Edge to Antor recorded an image of what appears to be an NX-era shuttlepod lying on the surface of a moon, its nose half-buried. Captain Roshanara Rahman decided to check out this newest puzzle to the mystery with a few officers from the USS Veritas while her ship was docked for repairs at Star Station Esperance. Rahman's team took the USS Baikal to the moon to begin their investigation. After the investigation was completed by Captain Rahman. Starfleet dedicated a plaque to the fallen members of the crew, now dubbed the Endeavour 5
