Backstory/Timeline

• 2363: Born. Raised by mother at family home in Marin County.
• 2372: Accompanies father onboard USS Appalachia.
• 2373: Returns to Earth when USS Appalachia is diverted to take part in the Battle of Sector 001. USS Appalachia was almost destroyed by the Borg, but Ethan Canis was able to escape with most of the crew. Fearing for his safety, his wife, who worked for BUPERS, was able to procure Ethan an assignment at the Utopia Planita shipyards, which was increasing production in the aftermath of the beginning of the Dominion War. Ethan loved the job and spent the rest of his career there, eventually becoming Chief of Staff to the shipyard's commanding officer.
• 2381: Fails first entrance exam for Starfleet Academy.
• 2382: Accepted to Starfleet Academy.
