Backstory

Danielle Vistain is a junior engineering officer aboard the USS Independence-A. She is often posted in the ship's shuttlebays. Among her friends is Durrell Taylor, a fellow junior engineering officer who is also assigned routinely to shuttle maintenance.

Both Vistain and Taylor were in the shuttlebay when Tenzin Zhou first came aboard the Independence in 2387. Later that year, Taylor revealed that his late friend Tyler Morris had harbored a crush on Vistain.
