Makisig Corcino is a vice admiral at Starfleet Command, based in San Francisco.
Corcino previously served aboard the USS Albright during the Dominion War, where he was shipmates with a then-enlisted Karrod Niac (known then as Karrod Morrahn as the Trill was unjoined). The two initially had a friendly relationship, with Morrahn even viewing Corcino as a mentor. That all changed in 2374 when Corcino made a controversial command decision that cost the lives of five of the Albright's crew members. Since then, the two have an acrimonious relationship, each avoiding one another in the quarter-century since.
