A degree in *Mathematics* prepares students to gain a greater understanding of the data and phenomenon around them, understanding it at a level beyond what pure instrumentation provides.

Mathematics Minor

Mathematics Minors are required to complete all of the math requirements for their major, and another seven (7) electives from the 3XX, 4XX, or 5XX mathematics series chosen with the direction of their academic adviser. Courses required for the completion of their major will generally not be accepted. See theMathematics Department for more information.
