The following is a compilation of mission summaries from both current and prior commanding officers of the USS Drake:
2389 Missions
"Null Space" (Stardate 238902.05)
The Drake emerges from spacedock at Utopia Planitia after a long-overdue refit, bosting new systems and new crew. A detachment of Marines is deployed to the Drake to form a specialized Search-and-Rescue, and Engineering receives a team from the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. As these officers join the crew, however, others unexpectedly depart: a shuttlecraft carrying the Drakes Chief of Security, Lt. Commander David Whale, goes missing somewhere between Earth and Alpha Centauri. Furthermore, Captain Kare'en is reassigned at the last moment, leaving Commander William Rogers in the big chair. Timeline
- 238804.18 - Mission briefing.
- 238805.24 - The Drake reaches the convoy, only have it come under attack by pirates.
- 238806.08 - By interfacing directly with a pirate ship, Lt. JG Pandora is able to disable it. The others retreat. Lt. Commander Rogers's team successfully occupies the enemy vessel.
- 238806.24 - While repairs proceed on the convoy vessels, some ships don't feel like waiting. A Romulan warbird decloaks.
- 238807.06 - The refugee ship Echo experiences a mutiny and its captain is killed. The Echo ends up on a collision course with the Aquitania.
- 238807.20 - Ensign Harper recognizes one of the refugees as the genocidal war criminal Maiek Khev, also known as the Infernal.
- 238807.24 - Captain Reynolds orders Lt. Cmdr. Brunsig to apprehend the Infernal.
- 238808.04 - Ensign Kells discovers the tetryon sandbanks of the region when the Drake is unexpectedly "beached" and unable to go to warp.
- 238808.15 - As the Drake and the convoy weave around the tetryon sandbanks to avoid another set of pirate raiders, the Infernal escapes from the brig.
- 238808.20 - With the raiders neutralized and the Infernal recaptured, the Drake deals with the final thorn in its side and destroyed the recloaked warbird. The Drake and the convoy enter Federation space.
