The X'lar system is a system of 2 planets orbiting a White Dwarf star in the Trinity Sector. X'lar is approximately 4 light years from StarBase 118 and within Federation space. It is about 2 light years from the Cart'hen system.
The planets of the system total two terrestial planets. Neither has any atmosphere, though the second planet has a moon.
