The USS Nova served as the Fleet’s training vessel for several officers after the destruction of the USS Chicago, which had been serving in that capacity prior.
It has a very long and distinguished list of officers who have gone on to serve and command several of the Fleet vessels over the course of the years, ironically responsible for the rescue of the USS Kirojen on its maiden voyage that brought an infectious Kirojen Strain back to SB118 during the Yolanda Wars to cause a Fleetwise State of Emergency for several weeks.
Unfortunately, the ship was scuttled during the Marquis battle against SB118 on stardate 237404.15, but its destruction served to end the Marquis threat within the sector.
