Unbeknownst to the ''Za'' and her crew, their departure is observed by a mysterious pair, who’ve stowed away valuable cargo on the Federation Starship. What import that cargo has, and who the pair is, however, remains a mystery for now... At the launch party, just as the USS Za crosses the Federation borders, Flt.Cpt. | Just before noon the day after the launch party, [[Trellis Vondaryan|Lt.Cdr. Vondaryan]] and his team board the ''Deep Explorer-46'' - the Deep's vessel - and are welcomed by Arbiter Ydem-18. While welcoming, she seems nervous to greet them. She guides them through the corridors of the Explorer-46, engaging in small talk with the away team in an amiable fashion, before they reach the Meeting Chamber containing their navigational technology. The Arbiter continues her pattern of cryptic communication, seemingly trying to gauge how much Starfleet has been told of the reason for their meeting.
