Motto graphics

I have no idea how to get to the Motto to change the graphic. It would be simple if I could get the picture to the correct size 175 x 90, but the closest I could get was 172 x 113. So if any one could help me with that on the Embassy's front page it would be appreciated. ToniToni 00:05, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Are you referring to the image here? According to what I can see, the image is displaying at 175x90. Or are you trying to get the motto image switched and use the same image from the nav? If that's the case, the nav image will need to be cropped in order to display at 175x90 (which I can do for you fairly quickly). Let me know. Whale 01:00, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes, that's the one. I just didn't see a way to edit it. I want the new picture put in that box. The one on it is the old Embassy that we are replacing. o if you could crop the pictuer in the nav to the correct mesurements and name it according to the old nav it would take care of a number of of ills. I just did't want to change the nav when I could get it to fit the standard nav. The Thunder also needs to be sized correctly. ToniToni 17:07, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Toni, I heard a rumor that the Ronin is headed back to the Embassy on Duronis II in the near future. I've been playing a Laudean PC, Elya Tali, for a few months now and would be interested in getting involved with the mission either with Elya, another PNPC, or just observing.

No, the Ronin won't be going to the Embassy. Will have a new ship, USS Thunder, that we're taking to Duronis II. I'm sorry, I don't recognize Elya or Meekohi, could you tell me your regular PC's name, and send me a sample sim of how you play your Laudean.

The picture you made looks good, but I wanted to use the other picture of it as the main picture, and was trying to put the curved name and numbers on it. Is there anyway you can do the curved letters and numbers on top of that? I can use the the one made at the bottom of the page.

Yes, I went to check Tali's page. That's why I gave her the correct procedure. She can't make a Secondary until she becomes a full Lieutenant. Ahh- I knew you could revert it... :) If you go to the page for that image (clicking on the tiny image I put above takes you there) there's a 'revert' button down the left hand side which will allow you to set the image to any version you wish. On second thought, maybe that only appears to admins... in any event, sorry for messing it up- I meant to revert it but got distracted. --AlleranTan 23:04, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

It deleted mine when you uploaded the same file name. I had to delete your's so I could get it back on the Thunder's first page using the same file name.

While I appreciate your efforts to help, and the graphics you do are very nice, please ask before changing the work we have done as it is a work in progress that we need to get done. Stopping to do something all over again only delays it's completion.

Incidentally, just for future reference, I double triple checked- if you go here (http://www.wiki.starbase118.net/wiki/index.php?title=File:USSThunder.jpg), that's the picture that's on the Thunder front page, the one I "deleted". If you scroll down to "File History" it'll show you a tiny pic of every version of the file uploaded- including the one I put there. If you're signed in, there should be three links next to each image, saying "delete | revert | a date"

If you click "revert", it sets the picture to that version. :)

I'm on the lookout for more Thunder images, but in future, as per your request I'll just link them in your user page and you can decide if/when you want to use them? That way I'm not treading on your toes. :)

As for the current image, I'll see what I can do about polishing it up in the next few days, but I have a fair few other things to do so it might get triaged. Sorry again for the confusion! --AlleranTan 04:37, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

You can only have one page per name, so if you name your page "Holodecks," we don't know if you're talking about Challenger holodecks, Enterprise holodecks, or just holodecks in general.

-Toni, I'm glad you're here on the wiki, 'cos there are only about 4 of us who put things here regularly. However, what we are trying to go for on OUR wiki is to have stuff specific to what has happened in OUR Star Trek universe. If it happened in canon Trek, we're hoping to link to it on Memory Alpha, Wikipedia, or another site. That way, we don't waste time or space having stuff that is just a copy of things elsewhere.
-What would be great, for instance, is if you have this list as a page unto itself. For those ailments that are canon, link them to the appropriate memory alpha page. For those that you guys on Challenger have made up, give them their own page entry and link to that. The appropriate category would be "Diseases and maladies".

-Sounds good to me to link the ailments to Memory Alpha. I can elaborate on the ones we make up that way. I also took the time to do lists for Equipment, procedures and medications. The medications are set up in catagories to make them easier for people to find the medication needed for a specific treatment.
