I noticed that you require a certain amount of contributions before you can become a Admin, however the amount required is difficult to count using the 'My contributions' screen. As a possible solution to this you might want to check out [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SpecialUserScore] .

Also, is there a way to modify the upload page so that a warning can be added that advises users that a new version of a file takes time to appear on the live server?
