Lt Blue Pips
Thunder
Hi Toni, the Lt. JG blue pips image is used as a standard in more than just the USS Challenger's duty roster. Modifying it's size effects the sizing on numerous pages. I've uploaded a new file to fix the problem. In the future the standard for the USS Challenger's duty roster is 'C' in front of the image name because of their different sizes. -Sirkit

Where can I find the list of pip files that you have already uploaded to be able to use them?
Motto graphics
Easiest way is to look at the pip files used in other sites. I've already added the appropriate ones for the Challengers duty roster. I beleive it's called Image:CBlue-lt.jpg for the blue lt pips. There not organized well so sometimes you have to do some hunting through the images or look at what other people are using and track back. I suppose I can organize them in the next little bit... I've created a category for the challenger sized pips images. To access it just click on one of the challenger images and then on the category-Sirkit
I have no idea how to get to the Motto to change the graphic. It would be simple if I could get the picture to the correct size 175 x 90, but the closest I could get was 172 x 113. So if any one could help me with that on the Embassy's front page it would be appreciated. ToniToni 00:05, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
: Are you referring to the image here?  According to what I can see, the image is displaying at 175x90. Or are you trying to get the motto image switched and use the same image from the nav?  If that's the case, the nav image will need to be cropped in order to display at 175x90 (which I can do for you fairly quickly). Let me know.  Whale 01:00, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Correct Name
Just a note, I moved your page to Turner, Toni. Primary characters have their last name first when we put them on a wiki page, so we can find them easier. Also fixed the link on the Embassy crew history page. --Wolf 12:17, 30 Oct 2005 (CST)

Laudean Characters
Yes, that's the one. I just didn't see a way to edit it. I want the new picture put in that box. The one on it is the old Embassy that we are replacing. o if you could crop the pictuer in the nav to the correct mesurements and name it according to the old nav it would take care of a number of of ills. I just did't want  to change the nav when I could get it to fit the standard nav. The Thunder also needs to be sized correctly. ToniToni 17:07, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Toni, I have removed the Laudean characters you added to the Non-Laudean NPC listing for the Embassy for that obvious reason. Additionally, you already have them listed in the Laudean Characters area, which is where they should be. However, I think that we could rearrange the structure of the Laudean Character page to look more like the Non-L NPC page.
:Okay, done.  Check it out and make sure it's what you want  :)  Whale 17:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Please don't be offended. I'm just trying to keep things "flowy".

Laudean Currency
::smiles:: Perfect! Thank you. ToniToni 22:27, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Toni, see if you can find the actual sim that the blits conversion was done in. It wasn't #114, that was a birthing sim (that I added as an example to the birthing section of the customs page). Let me know what you find out, and I'll add it as an example to the currency section.

Embassy Sickbay
Can I tag along?
Toni, I changed "sickbay", which is the term used on a vessel, to "infirmary", which is the term used for an installation, seeing as how the Embassy is an installation. Don't worry about changing the name of the pic, though.

Embassy Engineering
Toni, I heard a rumor that the Ronin is headed back to the Embassy on Duronis II in the near future. I've been playing a Laudean PC, Elya Tali, for a few months now and would be interested in getting involved with the mission either with Elya, another PNPC, or just observing.
Hi Varaan, I was helping Brell because he made the graphic for his office much too big (see engineering) anyway, I fixed it for him and made it a gif file and much smaller. Now, I need to know how to delete the big jpg file he uploaded.

Challenger NPCs
Let me know!

I've renamed the NPC list pages... The format I've changed it to Challenger <insert department name here> NPCs, e.g. CIVILIANS moved to Challenger Civilian NPCs I've done this as the page names you used made no reference to the ship name so I thought these new names would be a lot clearer. Hope you don't mind. - Jay 17:33, 17 February 2006 (CST)

No, the Ronin won't be going to the Embassy. Will have a new ship, USS Thunder, that we're taking to Duronis II. I'm sorry, I don't recognize Elya or Meekohi, could you tell me your regular PC's name, and send me a sample sim of how you play your Laudean.

:No, I don't mind, just as long as they can find them. I will be updating the USS Walton with the same lists too, so I will set it up as you have them.
Regards, you would have to have Elya made your secondary, and come as a civilian if your CO and the placement officer agreed to it. ToniToni 21:17, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Turner's Pregnancy
Two things
Toni, this thing with the lomales and procreation as it relates to Laudeans is pretty necessary. HOWEVER, the thing about the lomales being the source of the Fielding isn't necessary, just a fairly important societal story arc. It could get changed though, but I think that the sim with Paetra and you could still work out. The question would be if you planned on delivering a Fielding capable half-breed. I don't know if you've thought that far ahead, but I have some ideas on how this could continue.

Laudean-nonLaudean crossbreeding hasn't been tried successfully before for whatever reason. Toni is the first suitable candidate. Great, so far no problem. The declining Laudean population (and hence need for "fresh breeding stock") story still works due to lack of lomales globally. Great, still no problem. If the Upper echelon of the Coven knows that the lomales are the source of the Fielding, then you can still be an experiment for them. Lomales must be used for a female Laudean's egg to be made fertile. No so with Humans. And so the enzyme isn't needed to break down the egg membrane either. Hence, you're pregnant. What the Coven don't know is in which instance the lomale is necessary to pass on the Fielding. Perhaps they are using you and your future child as a baseline. Future impregnations will be assisted by a lomale in different instances to figure out how to get the Fielding passed on, if possible. Maybe you might be attacked again, or some other woman might be.
Hi Commander,

Is any of this making sense to you? Could any of this work? I hope so, 'cause all this stuff was in the workings before your Paetra incident, and I'd hate to have to scrap all the society stuff we've come up with and start over. Let me know if we could use any of this. Thanks. -Varaan, 21 MAR 2006, 11:57 EST
I've uploaded a new version of the USS Thunder

It could still work if for some reason certain Terran women have the same enzyme as the Lomale. What I am thinking is... in the South (Georgia and South Carolina) red clay is dominate in our soil. Perhaps, Terrans from that region assimulate the enzyne from the unique clay thus making it possible to bare a fielding child. What do you think?

Why does it matter that the child can field.
If you don't like it, you can just revert it. :)

This has been something we've been discussing on the forums for a long long time now.
Also, the writer above me (Meekohi) is Lieutenant Junior Grade Elya Tali from the USS Victory. :) --AlleranTan 00:28, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
I think you might have to just live with this one. I don't really like that Rocar is negotiating from a disadvantage because the Federation had close ties to the former royal government. However, that was the established backstory so its something I have to run with.

-Rocar.
The picture you made looks good, but I wanted to use the other picture of it as the main picture, and was trying to put the curved name and numbers on it. Is there anyway you can do the curved letters and numbers on top of that?  I can use the the one made at the bottom of the page.

Yes, I went to check Tali's page. That's why I gave her the correct procedure. She can't make a
Secondary until she becomes a full Lieutenant. ToniToni 00:00, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
I can't revert the picture. You didn't leave a signature as to who did it and Admiral Wolf's changes would be lost even if I could. So I'll leave it for now and change it later. ToniToni 03:51, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
:Sorry about that Toni! --AlleranTan 23:01, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
:Ahh- I knew you could revert it... :) If you go to the page for that image (clicking on the tiny image I put above takes you there) there's a 'revert' button down the left hand side which will allow you to set the image to any version you wish. On second thought, maybe that only appears to admins... in any event, sorry for messing it up- I meant to revert it but got distracted. --AlleranTan 23:04, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
It deleted mine when you uploaded the same file name. I had to delete your's so I could get it back on the Thunder's first page using the same file name.

While I appreciate your efforts to help, and the graphics you do are very nice, please ask before changing the work we have done as it is a work in progress that we need to get done. Stopping to do something all over again only delays it's completion.

Keep up  the good work. :) Toni 23:31, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Toni

Thanks Toni! :)

Incidentally, just for future reference, I double triple checked- if you go here (http://www.wiki.starbase118.net/wiki/index.php?title=File:USSThunder.jpg), that's the picture that's on the Thunder front page, the one I "deleted". If you scroll down to "File History" it'll show you a tiny pic of every version of the file uploaded- including the one I put there. If you're signed in, there should be three links next to each image, saying "delete | revert | a date"

If you click "revert", it sets the picture to that version. :)

I'm on the lookout for more Thunder images, but in future, as per your request I'll just link them in your user page and you can decide if/when you want to use them? That way I'm not treading on your toes. :)

As for the current image, I'll see what I can do about polishing it up in the next few days, but I have a fair few other things to do so it might get triaged. Sorry again for the confusion! --AlleranTan 04:37, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

I appreciate your help, Tan, but I polished it up already. Okay? If you want to help, I need two picture of two different offices, one for Toni and one for Ambassor Boyd. If you know of a site that has pictures of them, I'd appreciate the address so I can choose from them to my taste. :) Toni 21:54, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Toni
