The USS Kitty Hawk is a Galaxy class starship. In 2398, Captain Roshanara Rahman was offered command of the Kitty Hawk following its previous CO Captain Chawla's promotion, in no small part due to her previous experience as chief engineer of the Kitty Hawk's sister ship, USS Garuda.
