Planetary Naming Conventions

I guess it's going to have to depend on how important the world is to the rest of the galaxy. A small mining colony wanting to rename a planet after it's founder doesn't stack up to a major planetary habitation (ie Mars), right? Hmmm. I think we still need some type of guideline. Duronis II...There's always an abberation, right? Can't do much about it when it is part of a "ship" group listing, as in the "Embassy of Duronis II". Wouldn't make much sense to people looking at it if the "vessel" was the "Embassy of Duronis II" but the planet it was on WASN'T Duronis II, would it? creating sector template

Well I started to do the work to split Trinity into 3 sectors like we discussed... I picked the names for the one above (Serellan) and the one below it (Jenatris Cloud)... then I tried to copy and creat new templates... I suceeded with Jenatris Cloud... but failed with Serellan... each time I tried to use the link it sent me to Trinity... what did I do wrong... Canreb 21:58, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

Character development

I'm finally getting to work on my character profile... problem... age 23 when he graduated from the Academy as a ensign... age 26 when he gets promoted to Lt. Commander... only 3 years... Family Tree

Ehm... it basically charts the tree of which ship launched out of which ship/ which CO launched from which CO. As such it doesn't matter if Riley served under all the previous COs and transfered vessel as it was RAdm Anassasi who launched her as a CO (and marks her Captain's practical exam) and her ship was launched out of RAdm Anassasi ship. She may have served under Kar'een but her ship was not launched from half of Kareens ship and Kareen didn't launch her (train her/ nominate her to sit the Captaincy tests/ grade her Captain's exam).

It doesn't really matter which way the pyramid goes, I just figured it made sense to have current day CO's at the top as those are the ones people will know and that way you can chart backwards in time to the original seed. Plus was just easier to update the table in this order... I think you'll find thats how ancestry charts usually work. It will no doubt make more sense once complete.

Thanks for offering to invert the table, however, there really is no need for you to do so as ancestry charts are supposed to run from bottom to top. It, therefore, makes more sense to keep it the way it is already laid out. Family Tree: Tekra

I'm okay with listing me as 'don't know who trained him' -- I'm me, and I don't know what name I'd pick ;) I went with Wolf because it seemed right, but if that's "don't know", I'm okay with that. I was made Captain on the StarWind by Randor, but under various times served under Wolf, Kelly, Jolon, Keldor, Demma, Randor, Skyfire, Pelletier, Ruach, Hurne ... and served WITH Marlin, Aquiss, Hollis, and a bunch of the others, and most of them influenced me in one way or another.
