Personality
Over the short course of her life, Soren Novu has continued to struggle adapting to her family's presence in the Rigelian Assembly - though she behaves as a Rigelian born into a high position, she is not considered to be of the same standard as the rest of her family, considered a weak link in the profiteering group of Rigelians. Unable to "make something of herself" in comparison to her peers, and seeking a purpose, Novu accepted the challenge of joining Starfleet. However, she would be unable to pass the entrance exam on the first try. Despite the severe blow to her self-confidence, Novu tried again - and also failed. It would require five attempts before she is accepted into Starfleet Academy, but the work was not over.
Up to this point, Novu has struggled to find success in the Starfleet fold, her capability within her classes noted to be of a lower quality when compared to an average cadet, but her instructors appreciate her determination and willingness to try new methods of training. She prides herself on refusing to give up when faced with a challenge, and after years of hard work, is eager to see her time in the Academy through to the end.
