Harrison's family on his father's side descend from the old Earth nation state of Great Britain. The Banks family has a long history of the legal profession, stretching back to the 19th century. His Mother descends from the Spanish area of Earth. His parents met when they were in Starfleet Law school. Always the more talented of the couple, Harrison's mother rose to the rank of Captain while his father "dabbled in the family business" before moving in to politics. | |||

Harrison had a steady boyfriend, Alexander Ericsson, throughout his undergraduate days and the two were engaged to be married. Their relationship was put under a lot of strain after Alex was assigned to a deep space mission following graduation and Harrison stated law school. Given the choice of leaving law school to except an ops assignment on Alex's ship or breaking the engagement, Harrison chose his career. While not a decision that he regrets, he has recently become acutely aware that he is getting older and doesn't want to spend the rest of his life alone. | |||

Harrison is a keen tennis player and swimmer. He is an enthusiastic, albeit untalented, guitar player and an experimental chef. He can speak several languages and was head of the Academy Debating Team in his senior year. | |||
