Working with a great many Star Fleet Officers.  He feel in love with a Cadet in the Academy.  Ben Johnson,  Ben and Baylen spent a lot of romantic nights together walking the streets of New Orleans and going to bars, or to dinner or a play.  The time he spent with Ben was like magic.  There love lasted three beautiful years.  Baylen was deeply in love and was about to ask Ben to marry him but Ben transferred to the Livingston for the last part of training and did not get the earth assinment. So ended there long romantic and passionate love affairs.  

 

After a great heart break, Baylen closed off and lost interest in his work at the Spa. He wanted to get away and he opened his own shop on Earths Spacedock and had a few flings here and there.  But nothing like that of Ben.  After his year on the spacedock Baylen made the decision to join Star Fleet.

 

Since Laudeans are non-Federation citizens, Greir was only able attend the Academy by gaining sponsorship and a letter of reference written on his behalf by a command level officer. Fortunately he was able to do this through the Federation Embassy before they were expelled from the planet. Greir needed help with his application to StarFleet Academy due to his lack of knowledge of Federation Standard. Once accepted he took a pre-entry course at StarFleet Academy in Federation Standard and continued to build on his language skills throughout his time at the academy.

 

Once he started attending StarFleet Academy he soon learned of telepathic species, who like his own had a unique ability and felt he could relate to them in many ways. He found this unique ability more fascinating than most and while studying for his major in counselling specialised in [[Betazoid|<font color="black">Betazoids</font>]], graduating in the top 10% of his class.

Since graduating Greir has served on starships and a starbase. He’s made steady progress throughout his career and is well known for his sunny, optimistic nature, being calm, easy going, reliable and organised. His desire to impress those around him has led to some sticky situations but has never caused excessive problems.
