Lyara Alroyo was born on Bajor in the province of Kendra to Lyara Hana and Lyara Deren. Her parents had separated amicably shortly after she was born, but she had a good relationship with both of them. When she was Eight, her mother met Francis Giardano, a Starfleet officer who was visiting Bajor for geological work. They soon got married, and she quickly adapted to her new stepfather. They remained on Bajor while her step-father would go on deployments then come back to visit her and her mother before he'd go out again. | |||
