Jaseb is a little measured when dealing with other people. He expects the worst from others, rarely shows his true self hidden behind the wall he built between himself and the surrounding world.
Jaseb's demeanor towards others is often cautious and reserved, as he harbors a deep-seated belief that people are inherently untrustworthy. He tends to keep his true self hidden behind a metaphorical wall, which he has erected to protect himself from the outside world.
But, if you crack the wall, and then peel the onion, you can find a sweet, attentive, and sensitive boy, a direct opposite to cold, efficient, result focused men who present himself so.
However, those who take the time to get to know him and earn his trust will find a kind, thoughtful, and empathetic young man, who is the polar opposite of the stereotypical cold, detached, and goal-oriented individuals that are often celebrated in today's society.
Jaseb was born on the non-Federation Human diaspora colony on the border of Tholian and Makus Sector, as a third child to the family of public servants. He had a happy childhood, but as he grew up, he started to realize what it means to be born as a third. His planet is a bare, resourceless place, and a population of the colony is heavily controlled to curb the colony population growth. Jaseb was destined to become a pilgrim - the one who is expected to leave. When he finished his primary education, his future was already written. He, altogether with other "third", was taken out of his family, and educated (someone would say conditioned) by their transhumanistic church - Sanctum Transpoli - about the "life outside".
Jaseb was born in a remote, non-Federation, human diaspora colony located on the edge of the Tholian and Makus Sectors.
He was the third child of a family of public servants, and he had a happy childhood filled with joy and laughter. However, as he grew older, Jaseb became increasingly aware of the challenges and limitations that came with being a third-born. His planet is barren and lacking resources, and the planetary population was strictly controlled to prevent overpopulation.
Thus, Jaseb's future was predetermined from a young age - he was destined to become a pilgrim and leave his home planet to seek a better life elsewhere. After completing his primary education, he was separated from his family and sent to be educated by the ''Sanctum Transpoli''. This transhumanistic church taught him about life beyond his planet's boundaries. While some might argue that Jaseb and others like him were conditioned to accept their fate, to him, it was an opportunity to explore the world beyond his planet's confines.
At the age of 17 he was expected to leave, and he left. He spent the next two years among the stars, while trying to find his meaning in life. There he firstly came across something he hadn't seen before. Misunderstanding of his religion, condemnation for his looks, slanders and insults whispered behind his back. Even though he was third, he was never bullied nor offended by others before. Firstly, he was terrified and lost, but he hardened to the outside world quickly enough. He survived and decided on the only one career that made sense to him - and applied to the Starfleet Academy.
When he turned 17, it was time for him to leave his home and start his journey in life. He decided to explore the galaxy and spent the next two years traveling across the stars, trying to find his purpose in life. However, his journey was not as smooth as he had imagined. He encountered discrimination for the first time in his life based on his religion and appearance. People whispered slanders and rumors behind his back, which he found difficult to accept. Nevertheless, he learned to adapt to the harsh realities of the world and became resilient. He persevered through the challenges and decided to pursue his passions by applying to the Starfleet Academy.
