* Attended the prestigious STEM primary and secondary school on Risa

* Built her first primitive crystal radio at the age of 8

* Built her first primitive computer at the age of 12.

* Built her first primitive subspace radio age of 16.

* Started working for the Risian Hedony (government) at age of 16 in the Central Weather Control as a communications and computer technician, after school was let out.

* Graduated at age of 18 and was accepted to Starfleet Academy: Double Majored – Communications/Operations (Engineering) and Programming (Engineering). Carried a solid B average.

 

Ceilidh was tired of other races and her own people not taking her serious in engineering pursuits and against the wishes of her family applied to Starfleet Academy to continue her education. This has put a strain on her relationship with her family, when it used to be a tight knit family. She is also tired of every being she meets treating her as a sexual object due to her being a Risian, further adding to her desire to join Starfleet, to prove that Risian’s are more than hedonist. To be taken more seriously she hides her Ja’risia by covering it with her bangs.

 

Ceilidh has Autophobia (fear of being alone). As a result of being left alone by herself at the age of 5, when the family went to Temtbi Lagoon and hot springs for vacation. She had wandered off and got lost in the local hills for 48 hours. Ever since she feels the need to be around other beings. This contrast with her shy, unusual for a Risian, and bookworm demeanor.
