* Glasses: On occasion Quentin makes use of a pair of glasses which he uses to sharpen his vision and take in fine detailing as his eyes are good at a distance, but slightly fail at closer ranges. His first pair (heavy black frames) have since been shattered. Quentin replaced them with a largish pair of horn-rims (also black), but wonders about their long term status as part of his look. Prior to the current mission, Quentin replicated another pair of chunky plastic frames, but at a much smaller, more metropolitan size and now uses those as his go-to pair for the moment. They have just been destroyed once again. Since he has taken to a spartan, almost clear set of boxy frames just because of their tendency to get smashed on mission. He is not particularly attached to them. They have since also been destroyed. He now has a thick-set set of square auburn glasses. They too have been recently destroyed. | * Glasses: On occasion Quentin makes use of a pair of glasses which he uses to sharpen his vision and take in fine detailing as his eyes are good at a distance, but slightly fail at closer ranges. Now he has replicated a heavy blue-black pair of frames. Hoping the heaviness will keep them around for a while. | Now he has replicated a heavy blue-black pair of frames. Hoping the heaviness will keep them around for a while. They did not, having recently been punched apart by Orion pirates on Forward Refit Station-1. Afterward, he replicated a new pair of metal horn-rimmed glasses; this is now his 7th pair since joining Starfleet.

Mission #10: The Peril of Pankot III | Mission #10: The Peril of Pankot III
Quentin's next mission began under less than auspicious circumstances. But would have lasting ramifications for the Alpha Isles overall. Acting under mysterious orders from the Federation Diplomatic Corps, the Arrow and her crew were tasked with the pick up and hosting of a Chalnoth delegation. Stranger still, this delegation requested aid through official channels, making them the first group of Chalnoth to EVER contact Starfleet through official channels and under the banner of non-hostility.
Using the Proteus Ring to speed to the rally point, deep in uncharted Alpha Isles space, the ship then played host to one Captain Messoq, his firebrand first officer Hallack, and a seemingly ancient Elder. Transferring to the Arrow from their own ship, The Saracen, a scarred, but impressive warship that looked as if it had just left battle. Turns out, it had, as the Captain started to lay out a most unusual tale. They were under assault by a rival faction of Chalnoth, led by the ruthless Captain Morrack. This Morrack had been pursuing them for months and had possession of information that could fully destabilize Chalnoth society.
Slightly pushed by Captain Shayne, Messoq revealed a true bombshell, along with the help of the Elder. Presenting a seemingly hundreds-of-years-old map of a star system called Pankot III, Messoq and the Elder started to lay out the "true" history of the Chalnoth and how Messoq and his people had been fighting to preserve it all their lives. Long ago, thousands of years before the establishment of Chalna, the Chalnoth were ruled over by a dynasty of warrior-kings. Kings who commanded loyal teams of raiders and Captains, who were primarily based on the planet and associated system Pankot III. From this seat of power, the Chalnoth were a much more organized and forward planning race, enjoying a sort of brief "Golden Age" as they horded treasure and accolades across the surface of Pankot III.
Prized ahead of all these spoils was The Claw of Chalna, a sort of symbol of state that was awarded (or taken) by the strongest dynasty, securing their power over the planet and it's people. Over time, however, these warrior-kings and their courts fell to ruin and the Chalnoth started outward into deep space, but legends remained of the Claw. Telling of a grand challenge those worthy would have to endure and conquer should they wish to restore power and honour to the Chalnoth people.
This map, Messoq explained, was essentially a treasure map, but he had not the time or resources to search for it, while also fending off Anti-Royalist forces at the same time. He implored the Arrow; help him and his people find The Claw and restore a sort of order to the known Chalnoth power structure. But the Arrow was faced with largely the same problem as Messoq. Pankot III was separated across three massive continents. All with their own distinct climates and ecosystems. This task would spread the Senior Staff to the very brink.
Captain Shayne came to an unorthodox solution. They would ALL search for the Claw. Across three Away Teams. He himself would lead the First Team, to the First Continent (an icy wasteland). Commander Maz Rodan would lead the Second Team to the adjourning Continent (a dense jungle). INTEL Chief Ash MacKenna was given command of the The Third Team, Quentin's own assignment as well, alongside Counselor R'Ariel and a Security/Marine detachment. Their field of action would be The Third Continent. A dry, highly arid plateau of dunes and sporadic stone ruins. After a brief readying up period, all three Teams were away.
Right away, Team Three encountered problems. An encroaching sandstorm along with slightly overzealously hungry local wildlife hampered their early advances. Advances that quickly became a footrace once evidence of another team on the Continent was found.
