Our last mission was interesting. I'm not sure how else to put it. What started as an investigation into elevated radiation levels on an uninhabited planet turned into saving a micro-civilization. I'm not even sure that's an actual term, but that's the best way to put it. Though I am hopeful for their people, I am having issues. They accidentally swapped our minds into other's bodies. I suddenly had empathic and telepathic abilities. It was confusing. Our new Operations Chief, Commander Karrod, helped me with it. But now that it's gone, it feels like something is missing...of course it does, it's gone.
Anyways, we're on our way to Deep Space 224. I also have a Security Conference at Starbase 118. Starfleet feels its officers can learn from mistakes more than successes, apparently, as they've asked me to give a debrief of the Rinascita incident. I'm not looking forward to it.

It's been a while personal log. But part of that has been because I was awaiting a new posting. I'm happy to report that our crew is still together. We are now the crew of the USS Excalibur. Risa helped, a little. I'm still having some issues, both mentally and physically. Lieutenant Silveira was not demoted nor transferred. He received a reprimand. He's still being his cocky self. I don't think Commander MacKenzie likes that all too much. Right now, we're enroute to Cytaris V to investigate a spike in some radioactive readings. The planet is lifeless, so who knows what will happen. But for now, it sounds like our science teams, and my friend Iljor who is now Chief of Science, will have their work cut out for them. Master Chief Graves took my invitation to be my Senior NCO on the Excalibur. So far, he seems to be getting along with my officers. He'll be happy when I tell him we'll be running team drills for the crew while we're on our way to Cytaris V. Things are looking up right now, for the most part. | It's been a while personal log.
