The Chief Medical Officer on the Resolution has been a solid influence on Meidra's career, pushing her to learn new skills, and counseling her on her family issues. Currently, he is mentoring her in the use of her long dormant telepathic ability, as well as being her counselor. They share the same dry sense of humor and the comradery of knowing each other's secrets.

Hamsan, or D.W. to his non Bajoran friends, is an emergency medical technician on the Resolution. She finds him easy to talk with, and he's one of the few people she knows who likes her for herself, with no agenda. She finds herself thinking of him often, and smiling for no reason.
