| colspan="4" | | | colspan="4" | Wil works with Charlena Vanlith in engineering to find a way for the ship to catch up with Hecate, made difficult by its large gravimetric distortion field. That is complicated when the troublesome Nacelle 3 becomes inoperative. But once the Veritas achieves orbit of the planet, Wil leads an away team comprised of Raissa Moonsong, Kelrod, Dassa Alexander-Dalton, G'var and the visiting Kinan Venroe to the surface - losing contact with the Veritas in the process. After being watched by a near-invisible three-eyed creature, they make their way to some ruins. When they are split up by a partial collapse of the building, Wil, Raissa and Kelrod discover a control room for an AI that is plotting the planet's course to the Sol system. They are joined by G'var and Dassa, and find a way to communicate with the three-eyed creature that reveals itself. The Veritas provides information about the Promethians to the AI, which makes the planet change it's course. The away team is rescued on a Civilian ship piloted by Ceciri Ariadust. | ||
