::''"Who me. I found it in the garbage, honest."''
:::a Juk'Iia saying.
: The Juk'Iia are scavengers, thieves and low life's. Why work when you can accidentally find what you need. Everything they have, has been borrowed, stolen, found or otherwise mysteriously appeared in their possession.

==History==
The very first record of them is from the USS Granville, a Starfleet science vessel assigned to explore the Shoals in 2184. They were observed from a distance due to the Prime Directive, however by the time that the first Federation colonists had managed to establish a couple colonies they could be found on a number of different worlds.
==Government==
They have no central government or even a regional one. Small areas of their home world are controlled by any and every kind of possible leadership that in most cases could be more accurately described as an attempt at either some kind of criminal hierarchy or just some shambles of control.
==Description==
They are on average between 4'4" and 5'2" and weight between 90 lbs and 120 lbs. They have absolutely no body hair, deep set eyes, pointy ears and very sharp fang like teeth.
==Physiology==
As with most intelligent humanoid species they have a very complex system with specialized organs, and unique hormones, chemicals and enzymes. They are typical humanoids with most of the physical, mental and biological medical problems that seem to plague most humanoids except when it comes to their digestive system. They can eat virtually anything, even materials that most species would not consider edible with no adverse side affects. The same goes for foods that had spoiled or are even far gone in their rotting. Part of this is the fact that they have an extremely rudimentary sense of taste and a digestive system that can process anything with no difficulty. Their teeth are constantly growing and they can generally chew or grind down almost anything to be consumed as food.
==Psychology==
As a species they seem to all prefer to avoid as much work as possible. Doing just the bare minimum needed to survive. Mentally they seem to be unconcerned with tomorrow as it is too far away to be concerned with. All that matters is now, today, right this minute. They have no records of mental illness but this is primarily that none of them could be bothered to take the time needed to observe or notice if any of them were acting weird or unusual.
==Religion==
They have none and Federation experts believe this is mostly due to the fact that it would take way to much effort for them to create, remember or keep any records of them.
==Mythology==
They have none and Federation experts believe this is mostly due to the fact that it would take way to much effort for them to create, remember or keep any records of them.
==Society==
Their communities are ramshackle, ill planned, filthy, run down, mazes. No though is given to infa-structure and no effort is used to maintain anything unless their is some profit to be made or more likely excessive violence has been used as a motivator. There will be limited and usually no health care systems, schools or other large scale social institutions.
==Culture==
They have none and Federation experts believe this is mostly due to the fact that it would take way to much effort for them to create them.
==Customs==
They have none and Federation experts believe this is mostly due to the fact that it would take way to much effort for them to create them.
==Technology==
While they are technically at a pre-space level of technology they have had access to advanced technology and are intelligent enough to learn how to use and in some cases even repair the stuff.
==Economy==
They have a rudimentary system of trade and barter that is supplemented by the finders keepers rule.
==Military==
They have no military of any kind.
==Federation Intelligence Files==
The very first record of them is from the USS Granville, a Starfleet science vessel assigned to explore the Shoals in 2184.

This is an original Starbase 118 species created by Cmdr. Tal Tel-ar for use in the [[Shoals]] region of space.
