|BLURB= Sera met Jo during her first away mission on the Gorkon, in the cave system of Leutra IV. Sera's unfortunate first impression, trying to fight off mechanical spiders that were rescuing her, has been a continued source of embarrassment for Sera and later assessment for the pair. Jo was one of the first people that Sera was able to let her guard down around and share jokes with due to the humans own sense of humour. The two have since shared Poker games involving a top hat and confronted a tentacled subspace creature that threatened the Gorkon.      

|BLURB= Sera met Leigh McMann while at the Academy when Leigh was serving as an assistant instructor on the Engineering course. The older women mentored Sera through her initial difficulties adjusting to the Engineering program, particularly helping Leigh overcome her inability to improvise. When Leigh was assigned to the Gorkon the two women developed a friendship after a rocky start.<BR> Leigh McMann was '''Killed in Action''' during the investigation of Starbase 173. She was mortally wounded after leading a Bajorian child through a dimensional fissure, stabbed through the chest by a member of the Orion Syndicate. Leigh was able to eliminate the threat before succumbing to her wounds.
