{{Citation|Sheathed Sword|23950628|{{USS|Constitution-B}}|I believe everyone has been injured at one point or the other. Most of the time the injuries are healed quickly and the character goes about their day again. But every now and then someone gets injured bad enough that even the apparent magic of Sick Bay won't be able to heal wounds right away. During our last mission we had such occurrence through a poisoned disruptor bolt injury about which Starfleet didn't know much. This could have been over with quickly by writing that Klingons knew a way how to deal with it, but this writer chose not to. Instead she decided to commit to the consequences and is taking the time to send her character through the aftermath, the trauma and rehabilitation, portraying the mental and physical recovery. For adding this piece of realism and depth to her character and the plot, she deserves to receive this award.}} | |||
