We recovered the computer core and all bodies possible on the first sweep of the area that we could without violating the  Neutral Zone. However once we returned to base and attempted to read the core for any salvageable data to help in our investigation, Starfleet Intelligence appeared and immediately laid claim to it in regard to Captain Orrey's previous work with the organization.
